So many of us are fascinated with sunrises. There must be as many photographs of the rising sun as stars in the firmament. What is it about the daily recurrence of the arrival of the sun that enchants us, transports us into a state of wonder; awakens our longing for the infinite with a smile on our face.
Every sunrise is the same, eternal, yet shows itself in daily newness and difference. These photos, which I took a month ago, made me think that this is what the first primordial sunrise might have looked like as it came out of the universe’s womb.

Sunrises, for some reason, seem only to be viewed when traveling. So wonderful that you were able to capture such wonderful images close to home. Beautiful and inspiring.

Thank you, Valerie. I am very blessed that I can walk down my street to watch the sunrise over the lake. Pity that I don’t do it more often.

Since you wrote in English this time, I think I should reply in English, too.
Lake Ontario is one of the five Great Lakes of North America but it’s not the biggest. Lake Superior is the largest, followed by Lake Michigan, and Lake Huron. The smallest is Lake Erie. Here’s some photos of Lake Ontario taken from where I live in the city of Toronto:

Emanuel, it’s ok answering in English. This time I felt more confident in writing in English. Sometimes I feel more able to thinking in English. But normaly I’m slow in thinking in English. Unfortunately I forgot the most English grammar rules.
About the Ontorio Lake, I see I mistook its name with the Toronto city. I’m glad to know the difference since now.
