I know that it’s April 21, and just yesterday I was working in my garden, but it’s not unusual to have late-April snow make an appearance before spring really takes over from winter. I woke up this morning to a beautiful snowfall in Toronto. We were expecting it. My first thought was to go out and take a walk to see it at Rosetta McClain Gardens. Here’s how it looked this morning.
By now, as I write this, the sun is back and the snow is melting. Such is the ephemerality of the weather. As much as I find this kind of spontaneous outburst of nature’s whimsy delightful, I hope this will be my last post of snow for a while.

I know, I know, snow is pretty and all that…
But speaking as a native of a place where it didn’t snow (SF Bay Area flats), I still find it highly overrated, not to mention inconvenient. Grrr.

Pelo menos esta neve que caiu ontem já derreteu mas ainda faz muito frio aqui em Toronto. Sei que tem chovido em Lisboa. Antes a chuva do que a neve no mês de abril. Olá Miguel, obrigado pela sua presença de volta aqui no meu pequeno mundo virtual. A verdade é que é normal termos alguns dias de neve em abril mas esperamos que este nevão seja o último antes do próximo inverno. A neve que fotografei derreteu horas depois! Um abraço para si e para Lisboa. Emanuel

É verdade, ando afastado daqui desde Janeiro, mas por boas razões que trouxeram algumas mudanças à minha vida e em consequência, menos tempo (e em parte, até são mudanças relacionadas com o Canadá). Quero retomar a minha presença mais assídua por aqui! Prezo muito a comunidade de espaços online que aqui se construiu, sempre com temas interessantes e que tanto gosto de seguir. Um abraço!
